Coping With Depression? - Three Of The Best Ways To Bury Depression Fast And Get Back To Living!

Coping with depression can be very debilitating both
emotionally and physically. It may be a time to re-evaluate
matters so that you can reconnect to your joy and zest for
life.

You are the only person who really knows how to deal with
what is going on for you.  Place your trust in yourself and
move forward.

If you want to bury your depression fast, here are some ways
to speed up your return to a happy life.

1. Find your joy and passion through creative expression. It
is not coping with depression, but rather transcending
it,that is needed. Continually doing things you do not
enjoy,is a recipe for a life of stress and despondency.

Choose something you really enjoy and spend some time on
that. One of the best things to reconnect with joy is
painting. Though you may not feel up to it, just have a go
and express who you are. Paint your feelings or thoughts and
make it bright and colourful.

It will help you find the beauty and light within yourself
and you may even create a masterpiece!  At the very least,
it will connect you to the deepest part of you that needs to
be heard and seen, and you will feel more alive and vibrant.

2. Create new meaning in your life. If you are coping with
depression then maybe you feel that life has lost its
meaning. Our tendency is to define ourselves as the roles we
play.

When we can no longer fulfil those roles, we feel that life
is meaningless. In fact, it is just that our role has become
redundant because we need to find a more meaningful
definition of who we are in the world.

If you defined yourself as a "housewife" or as a
"breadwinner" and are now feeling that role is meaningless,
you are right! Roles are extremely limiting and we are
unlimited beings.

You are so much more than your role. What kind of person are
you deep down? Find all of the qualities you like about
yourself and write them down. The way out of coping with
depression is to express who we really are.

Recognising you are more than your roles and more than your
condition will help it fall away!

3. Trust your intuition. Our intuition often guides us to
health but more often than not, we ignore it, or are not
even aware of its presence.

It makes itself know by gut feelings, or knowingness or
novel ideas. It is persistent and will lead you into a
joyful life, if you will allow it.

Learn to trust and follow through on what you are feeling
and you will not end up coping with depression. If you feel
like sitting still or crying, then do so. If you are angry,
express it on paper or by punching some pillows or jumping
up and down on the spot.

Ask for guidance as to your next step, listen until you are
answered. Persist in this endeavour daily.Learn to trust
that the answer will come at the right time for you

Coping with depression will soon be a thing of the past as
you begin to reconnect with joy and creativity in your life.

Is There Life After Male Depression? - The Answer Lies In Your Hands!

Not heard of male depression? Well, recent reasearch reveals
that, this is a very real condition affecting men in their
mid-years of life, although there is disagreement as to the
actual cause. Some explanations blame hormonal changes and
others believe it is psychological.

Often referred to as the "mid-life crisis",this is no
laughing matter. It can remain undiagnosed for a plethora of
reasons, and can lead to marital breakup, poor performance at
work and even suicide.

But, you do not need to join the statistics. In fact, it all
depends on how you choose to travel through it.

Firstly, you can recognise male depression by the following
symptoms:

1. gastrointestinal problems, headaches or sexual
dysfunction

2. sleeping problems

3. anger

4. feeling lethargic

5. mood swings

6. frustration

7. irritability

8. becoming self-critical

9. questioning your ability to do things

10. loss of interest in sex

11. working excessive hours

12. turning to alcohol or drugs

13. overuse of the T.V. as a distraction

There is new life after male depression, and the way to
achieve it is to take the bull by the horns and create it
for yourself.  Here are a few suggestions for a smoother
passage into a new life:

1. Accept whatever unfamiliar sensations you are
experiencing instead of trying to escape having to face
them. Stop blaming yourself for your condition. If you just
go with the flow, you will be better able to cope.

2. You are going through a major transformation. Just as the
seasons change, so do our bodies and our personalities. If
you expect to feel the happy  constantly, that is
unrealistic! Instead, recognise you can handle this change,
like so many others in your life already.

3. Redefine yourself by who you are, not what you do.  If
you identify yourself just as "the breadwinner" or "the
strong one", once those roles are no longer there, you will
experience male depression. Aren't you more than just a
"breadwinner"?

The way you view yourself has a big impact on how you feel.
Focus on the qualities you like in yourself and remember,
you are "in transition to a wonderful new opportunity".

4. Re-evaluate your beliefs. Identify and release beliefs
that do not serve you, such as "this is the end of the road
for me".  That is simply untrue. One way of life may have
ended but there are so many more to try!

Choose to adopt the belief that you have a higher purpose.
Search for it, find it and fulfil it. Male depression may be
a gift from your soul, helping you to discover your purpose.
It is only when we create a space in our lives that
something new can arrive.

5. Develop self-awareness. Notice when you feel down,
instead of getting frustrated or irritable with others.

You may be sailing through uncharted waters with no sight of
land, so have patience with yourself, take some quiet time to
sit and be, and you will soon discover where you are heading.

Male depression is a time of major change, uncertainty and
re-evaluation but can also be, a time of clarity, deep
reconnection to self and the beginning of a whole new,
exciting chapter in life.

Male Depression - How to Successfully Navigate Male Depression And Begin A New Life!

Male depression can be a time of unpredictability,
uncertainty and drastic change. You were fine and in control
yesterday and now, cannot fathom what has hit you.

You may try to shrug it off as nothing, or hit the alcohol
to help yourself find some relief, but that is a distraction
and not the answer that will help you move forward. Rather,
it is toward yourself that you must turn if you want to
obtain the wisdom from this experience, and create a new
path for yourself.

It may be bumpy for a while but it will not last forever.
Become aware that you are going through major changes both
in your life and your body. The following suggestions may
help you transition into your new way of life more easily.

1. Look at your spiritual or religious beliefs. Do they
support you or hinder you? Feeling empty may mean that you
need to strengthen your faith. What is the use of pretending
to believe in a God if he is nowhere to be found when you
need him?

Studies show that depression can be significantly reduced by
regular practices such as meditation, prayer or church
attendance. Explore and follow what has deep meaning for
you.

2. Try something new. Male depression can cloud your
thinking with negative thoughts such as, "I am useless".
Maybe you could try a new hobby or learn a new skill. This
will help focus your mind on something enjoyable and help
boost your self-esteem. It will give you evidence that you
are still a very capable person with a lot to offer, and may
very well lead to a new career.

3. Communicate with your loved ones. This is vital, to get
you through this time successfully. You will find that, if
you talk with your loved ones, they will be more able to
support you. They will also understand that you are not
rejecting them but need to take time to be on your own and
will respect that.

4. Look after your health. When you are depessed, there can
be a tendency not to want to eat or not to care what you eat.
Make sure you are eating nutritious food and taking a multi
vitamin or a tonic. A short walk each day will give you more
energy.

5. Slow down. Male depression can be a time of honouring. A
time to be in the moment and obtain wisdom from. Some people
believe that whatever happens to us is random and others
believe it has a higher meaning.

In order to find what meaning it has for you, you need to
make yourself available to just "be". Ask yourself what the
positive message is. What is your positive learning from
this time? Become curious and determined to find the answers
and you will.

Male depression, if recognised and seen as a positive period
of transition, can be a time of learning more about who you
really are and what you stand for in the world and lead you
to new, more fulfilling experiences.
